More than 400 apartments across the Liebrüti residential development in Kaiseraugst now benefit from locally generated solar power. Enshift has implemented ten photovoltaic installations across multiple buildings and integrated them into one coordinated energy concept, enabling renewable electricity to be generated and consumed directly within the development.
The ten photovoltaic installations generate renewable electricity directly across the Liebrüti development. Through the virtual self-consumption community, or vZEV, the electricity is distributed across the connected buildings and used by the residents on site. This allows the development to make efficient use of its locally generated energy while reducing its dependence on electricity from the public grid.
The scale and structure of Liebrüti made the project particularly complex. Ten individual photovoltaic installations across multiple buildings had to be combined within one coordinated technical and energy-management concept.
The vZEV enables the electricity generated by the different systems to be allocated and billed across the participating apartments. Despite the size of the development, the individual installations operate as part of one integrated energy solution.
enshift was responsible for the development, financing, planning and implementation of the installations and continues to manage their long-term operation, maintenance and energy supply.
