A state-of-the-art photovoltaic system with an installed capacity of 515 kWp has been installed on the industrial property in Thun, covering a roof area of 2,575 m². The system not only reduces external electricity consumption but also makes a significant contribution to climate protection. The annual CO₂ savings of 35,471 kg highlight the positive environmental impact of this project, making the building a model for sustainable commercial properties.
As part of the project, the roof of a neighboring property owned by an inheritance community was also used for renewable energy generation. This previously unused space provided an ideal opportunity to expand the solar portfolio. With an installed capacity of 370 kWp, this system generates green electricity that is supplied directly to a nearby Coop distribution center.
Through this intelligent connection between electricity producers and consumers, a regional, sustainable energy network is created. Coop benefits from more stable and predictable electricity costs, while the inheritance community gains a long-term return by utilizing its roof space.
Collaboration with enshift AG enables a sustainable and economically viable energy supply. This project demonstrates how innovative energy solutions are actively shaping the future of the real estate industry.
