The system installed on the green roof with 175.36 kWp forms the energy backbone of the project. Thanks to the physical grouped self-consumption (ZEV), the locally produced electricity is distributed directly to the tenants – efficiently, cost-effectively, and independently from the public grid.
How does a ZEV work?
In a ZEV, the electricity generated by the PV system is distributed directly within the building to the connected users. Self-consumption is prioritized, while surplus is fed into the grid, and external electricity is only sourced when needed. This reduces energy costs, relieves the grid, and increases independence.
enshift ZEV solution
1. ZEV formation and meter installation
- Installation of smart meters
- Support in establishing the ZEV
2. Measurement and data processing
- Secure measurement and processing of consumption data in accordance with legal requirements
3. Billing
- Monthly billing to residents including collection (invoicing, 1st and 2nd reminders)
4. Support and options
- Administration of resident data
- Support for resident inquiries
- Optional: Installation inspections
As the operator of this physical ZEV, enshift takes full responsibility for maintenance including support for tenants and property management. This gives the project not only a technological but also an organizationally scalable energy solution for the future.
